Israel-based Nanovel has introduced an autonomous fruit-harvesting robot capable of picking citrus fruit for the fresh market in dense foliage. The system features a multi-arm platform, which will initially be towed by a tractor.

Nanovel, an Israeli AgTech startup, has introduced its AI-powered autonomous fruit-harvesting robot. This technology is  offering a solution to a major challenge in the fresh fruit market.

The telescopic arms are equipped with edge computing, advanced vision systems, and AI to identify, assess, and selectively pick fruit with precision that meets fresh market quality standards.

Nanovel has secured funding from a prominent industry organization for a demonstration and field trials of its commercial robotic orange harvester. The project will take place in California in the first part of 2025. Additional information to follow with the official publication of the project.
